 	Remove/install
1	Fold back the rear bench seat (1)	 Release rear bench seat (1) on release lever (4) and move to the frontmost position. Retract head restraints and fold down rear seat backrests. Next, release rear bench seat (1) on release lever (2) and move into the vertical position.
2	Release both locking mechanisms (3) by pressing the spring	 Installation: Release both locking mechanisms (3) by operating the release lever (2).
3	Operate release lever (4) and move rear bench seat (1) up vertically	 Helper required
4	Bend tab (5) toward inside	 Installation: Bend tab (5) toward the outside by approx. 30°. If tab (5) is bent too far toward the outside, a grinding noise can be heard when the rear bench seat (1) is moved.
5	Compress release lever (2) using a suitable screwdriver (arrows) and pull out of the rail (6)	 Installation: On vehicles up to the production date 13.1.05, the edge guard (7) has to be modified when the release lever (2) is replaced.
6	Install in the reverse order
