Remove outer front paneling (1) and outer rear paneling (2) from left or right front seat

Remove seat-back lining (3)

Remove release (4)

Loosen cover of front seat backrest at outer side and at bottom until cover (7) is exposed

Disconnect ground cable

Disconnect electrical plug (6) from left front seat backrest angle microswitch (S91/1) or right front seat backrest angle microswitch (S92/1)

Expose electric wiring harness (8) in area of cover (7) and in area of Bowden cable (5)

Unclip cover (7) (arrows C) and swing toward rear

Unclip Bowden cable (5) at bottom
(arrows D)

Unclip Bowden cable (5) at top (arrows A)



Install

Clip in Bowden cable (5) at top (arrows A)

 Ensure that Bowden cable (5) is properly seated in guides (arrows B).

Clip in Bowden cable (5) at bottom
(arrows D)

Clip in cover (7)

 Ensure that cover (7) is properly seated.

Install release (4)

Adjust Bowden cable (5)

Attach electric wiring harness (8) in the area of cover (7) and in the area of Bowden cable (5)

Connect electrical plug (6) to left front seat backrest angle microswitch (S91/1) or right front seat backrest angle microswitch (S92/1)

Connect ground cable

Attach cover of front seat backrest

Install seat-back lining (3)
