Danger! | Risk of injury in the form of trapping or crushing, or even severing of limbs, if caught in windshield wiper mechanism | Always remove ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism. | |
1 | Remove wiper arm | ||
2 | Unscrew nut (2) | Left and right on vehicle | |
3 | Remove front end cover (3). | Loosen front end panel (3) from clamping pieces and lip (4), lift over drive shafts of windshield wiper and pull out of terminal yokes. | |
| Install | ||
4 | Replace clamping pieces | Position on retaining pin, slightly move to side with hammer until lock tab catches. | |
5 | Position front end cover (3) | Lift over drive shafts of windshield wiper and insert into terminal yokes. | |
6 | Center front end panel (3) in relation to drive shafts for windshield wiper | ||
7 | Press on front end panel (3) | Press onto front end panel (3) with ball of hand. Slide upper connection area of linkage cover into lip of window frame. | |

8 | Screw in nuts (2) | Press front end cover (3) toward inside with hand to ensure sufficient seal of the windshield frame | |
9 | Install wiper arm |
