1 | Fold up fuel filler flap (5) | ||
2 | Unlock fuel filler flap (5) from release locks (arrow A) and remove from hinge (3) | ||
3 | Unclip check strap (4) on cap (6) from hinge (3) | ||
4 | Unscrew cap (6) | ||
5 | Unclip tank cap central locking actuator (M14/10) from catch hooks (9) and pull out until electrical connector (7) is accessible | ||
6 | Disconnect electrical connector (7) and remove tank cap central locking actuator (M14/10) | ||
7 | Screw on cap (6) | ||
8 | Drill tank filler recess (1) on release holes (arrows B, C, D, E) with Ø 3 mm drill bit (10) | | |
9 | Coat seal tank filler recess (11) on filler neck with lubricant | Special lubricant | |
10 | Unlock catch hook (1.1) behind release holes (arrows B, C, D, E) with extraction hook (8) and simultaneously pull tank filler recess (1) slightly out of fender | Extraction hook | |
11 | Remove tank filler recess (1) out of fender and remove tank filler recess seal (11) above filler neck | | |
12 | Remove drain hose from fitting (1.2). | ||

13 | Install rubber plug (2) in tank filler recess (1) | Only if tank filler recess (1) is not replaced. | |
14 | Coat seal tank filler recess (11) with lubricant in area of filler neck | Special lubricant | |
15 | Install drain hose on fitting (1.2) | ||
16 | Insert tank filler recess (1) into fender and install seal tank filler recess (11) above filler neck | ||
17 | Clip catch hook (1.1) of tank filler recess (1) into fender | ||
18 | Unscrew cap 6) | ||
19 | Install electrical connector (7) on tank cap central locking actuator (M14/10) and clip in tank cap central locking actuator (M14/10) | ||
20 | Screw on cap (6) | ||
21 | Clip check strap (4) on cap (6) into hinge (3) | ||
22 | Slide tank cap (5) onto hinge (3) and arrest | ||
23 | Close fuel filler flap (5) |
