Adjustment in longitudinal and vertical directions

Open engine hood (1)

Slacken bolts (2) and adjust engine hood (1)

 For minor fore/aft adjustments.

Slacken bolts (3) on hood hinge (4) and adjust engine hood (1)

 For larger adjustments in the longitudinal direction and/or height adjustment.

Adjust the engine hood (1) so that the front edges of the front fenders are flush with the engine hood and the top edges are in alignment

 If a greater range of adjustment is needed, loosen upper section of engine hood catch (10), adjust and retighten.



Tighten bolts (3) on hood hinge (4) and bolts (2) on engine hood (1)

Adjust the height of the stop buffer (5) so that the top edges of the front fenders and engine hood (1) are flush

If necessary, loosen lower section of engine hood catch (7), adjust higher/lower and retighten.

 The safety hook (8) must be pushed to the left in order to slacken and tighten the right-hand bolt (6).



Loosen upper section of engine hood catch (10)

Align upper section of engine hood catch (10) centrally with lower section of engine hood catch (7) in longitudinal and transverse directions and retighten



Check function of safety hook (8)

 To do thus, close the engine hood (1), unlock and check engagement on upper frame crossmember.

Check locking function of engine hood catch and safety hook (8)
