Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)

Remove radiator grille

Remove outside temperature sensor

Unscrew bolts (2)

Raise vehicle

Remove covers (arrows)

 Screws (3) are located under covers (arrows).

Remove bolts (3)

 Screw, step plate to crossmember

Remove expansion rivets (6, 7)

 Remove expansion rivets (6, 7) on both sides of vehicle.

 Installation: Check expansion rivets (6, 7) for damage.

Depending on findings



Replace damaged expansion rivets (6, 7).

Remove expansion rivets (4, 5)

 Installation: Check expansion rivets (4, 5) for damage.

Depending on findings



Replace damaged expansion rivets (4, 5).

Remove bumper (1)

 For this purpose, unclip bumper (1) on both sides from brackets.

 Helper required.

 Installation: Check brackets for damage.

Depending on findings



Replace damaged brackets.

 Helper required.
