Allow heater unit to cool down after operation and wear protective gloves. | |
2 | Unscrew nuts (3) | | |
3 | Detach heater unit (A87, A90) with holder | ||
4 | Remove nuts (2) of heat deflection plate (1) | Place heat deflection plate (1) to one side. | |
5 | Cut cable ties of electrical unit and of air inlet pipe (7) | Installation: replace cable ties. Note installation position of cable ties. | |
6 | Disconnect fuel feed line (4) | Clamp | |
Danger! | Risk of explosion through ignition, risk of poisoning through inhaling and ingestion of fuel as well as risk of injury through skin and eye contact with fuel. | ||
7 | Detach fuel feed line (4) | Collect escaping fuel in a suitable container. Installation: replace hose clamp. | |
8 | Remove union nut (5) from fuel pump, heater booster (M54) | To loosen union nut (5), counterhold fuel pump (M54) at connection. | |
9 | Detach fuel main filter (6) from fuel pump, heater booster (M54) | ||
10 | Install in the reverse order | ||
