Danger! | Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. | Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. | |
1 | Raise vehicle. | ||
2 | Detach 2-pin connector (7) on metering pump (4) | ||
3 | Pinch off fuel lines (1, 6) using suitable hose grippers (10) | ||
4 | Remove hose clamps (2, 5) on fuel lines (1, 6) and detach fuel lines (1, 6) from metering pump (4) | Collect fuel which flows out in a suitable container. | |
5 | Unscrew bolt (9) and remove metering pump (4) with pipe clamp lined with rubber (3) | Installation: When replacing the metering pump (4), modify the pipe clamp lined with rubber (3). Make sure that the wiring harness for the metering pump (4) is correctly fastened in place with a cable tie (8). | |
6 | Install in the reverse order | ||
7 | Perform test run of stationary heater; in the event of malfunction connect stationary heater diagnostic tool and troubleshoot. Finally, delete the fault memory | Stationary heater diagnostic tool: Order number: Q002 1664 V000 000000 |
