Detach access plate (9)

Unscrew bolt (3) and remove cover (2) with gasket (1)

Installation: Check gasket (1) for damage and replace if necessary.

Disconnect 14-pin plug (12) from auxiliary heater control unit (11).

Unscrew nut (4)

Remove connection lines (5) from the glow plug (6)

Unscrew glow plug (6)

Remove sealing ring (7)

Installation: Replace seal (7).

Remove glow plug screen (8)

Installation:

D3L-C compact heater (Diesel):

Note the installation position of the guide lug (arrow A). The bore for glow plug ventilation (arrow B) must be unobstructed

B3L-C compact heater (gasoline):

Note installation position of parting joint on glow plug screen (arrow C) The bore for the glow plug ventilation (arrow D) must be unobstructed.
