Remove bitumen insulation tape on refrigerant lines

 Installation: Carefully wrap bitumen insulation tape around the area surrounding the expansion valve, low pressure switch and the evaporator pipelines.

Unscrew union nut (2) from evaporator pipeline on left side of evaporator unit



 Plug openings.

 Installation: Install new sealing ring. Coat sealing ring with compressor oil before installation.

Unscrew mounting clamps (1)

Remove pieces of foam (5)

Pull refrigerant line on suction side (F) through D-pillar into interior

Unscrew union nut (4).



 Plug openings.

 Installation: Use new sealing ring. Coat sealing ring with compressor oil before installation.

Remove foam sealing (3)

Pull refrigerant line on suction side (F) from underside of vehicle into vehicle interior

Install in the reverse order

Only attach evaporator unit paneling after the air conditioning has been topped up and checked.

Replace air conditioning filter drier

Evacuate the air conditioning system, refill it, and then check the system to make sure that it functions correctly and does not leak.
