Remove stowage compartment or beverage holder

On vehicles up to 14.1.04.

Remove bolts from installation frame for radio or COMAND operating, display and controller unit

On vehicles as of 29.1.08 or with code (809) Model year 2009

Pull installation frame for radio or COMAND operating, display and controller unit out of dashboard

Remove right center air vent flap actuator motor (M16/24) from air conditioner housing

The right center air vent flap actuator motor (M16/24) is fastened with three bolts.

Disconnect electrical connector from right center air flap actuator motor (M16/24) and remove right center air flap actuator motor (M16/24)

Install in the reverse order

Read out fault memory, delete if necessary and normalize right center air flap actuator motor (M16/24)

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
