Remove/Install

Remove cover below instrument panel on left

Remove bolts (1) from carrier plate (2)

Remove carrier plate (2) with fresh air/air recirculation flap actuator motor (M16/21) or with air recirculation flap actuator (M16/7) from heater or A/C housing (3) until the electrical connector (4) is accessible

Installation: Ensure that the air recirculation flap is closed before positioning the carrier plate (2) on the heater or A/C housing (3).

Disconnect electrical connector (4) from fresh air/air recirculation flap actuator motor (M16/21) or from air recirculation flap actuator (M16/7)

Remove bolts (5) using cordless drill/driver and remove fresh air/air recirculation flap actuator motor (M16/21) or air recirculation flap actuator (M16/7) from carrier plate (2)

When replacing the fresh air/air recirculation flap actuator motor (M16/21) or the air recirculation flap actuator (M16/7).

Rechargeable battery-powered drill/screwdriver

Remove power adapter (6) from fresh air/air recirculation flap actuator motor (M16/21) or air recirculation flap actuator (M16/7)

When replacing the fresh air/air recirculation flap actuator motor (M16/21) or the air recirculation flap actuator (M16/7).

Install in the reverse order

Synchronize the actuator motors
