Remove AAC [KLA] control and operating unit and put to one side with electrical connectors connected

On vehicles with code (580) Automatic air conditioning

Remove HEAT [HAU] control and operating unit and put to one side with electrical connectors connected

Remove glove compartment

Remove cover below instrument panel on left

Remove cable (1) from operating lever (2) of footwell flaps

Release catch hooks (arrow) from cable (1) using suitable screwdriver and slide out of mounting on air distributor housing (3)

Installation: Ensure that catch hooks (arrow) are properly seated on cable (1) in mounting on air distributor housing (3).

Take out cable (1) behind air distributor housing (3) and between heater or A/C housing (4) and instrument panel (5)

Installation: Ensure that cable (1) is properly routed between heater or A/C housing (4) and instrument panel (5) as well as in the front of the air distributor housing (3).

Install in the reverse order
