Remove/install

Remove expansion valve

Remove right sound converter box

Remove electrical connector (2) from bracket (3) and disconnect

Unhook recirculated air cable (4) from air recirculation unit (1)

Installation: Insert recirculated air cable (4) in catch (7) and latch in place on lever (8).

Adjust recirculated air cable (4):

Detach recirculated air cable (4) from catch (7) on lever (8) of air recirculation unit (1).

Push heater/ventilation operating unit lever all the way upward and hold.

Push lever (8) on air recirculation unit (1) all the way to the left and lock recirculated air cable (4) covering.

Disconnect plug and socket connection (5)

On vehicles with alarm system (relevant for service), code V02.

6.1

Unscrew nuts at bottom of firewall and remove ATA [EDW] control unit (N26)

On vehicles with alarm system (relevant for service), code V02.

Unscrew nut (6) at top and bottom of firewall

Remove air recirculation unit (1)

Install in the reverse order

Carry out function test
