1 | Remove cross member under instrument panel | ||
2 | Detach retaining clips of electric wiring harness (2) at firewall in area of air recirculation unit (1) and air recirculation unit (1) | ||
3.1 | Detach electrical connector (3) from air recirculation flap actuator motor (M39) | For vehicles with Code (I01) Air conditioning Plus or Code (I77) Manual AC | |
3.2 | Unclip electrical connector (3) at air recirculation unit (1) | For vehicles without Code (I01) Air conditioning Plus or without code (I77) Manual air conditioning | |
The electrical connector (3) is clipped into a fixture on the air recirculation unit and is located in the same position as the air recirculation flap actuator motor (M39). | |||
4 | Remove air recirculation unit (1) on firewall | The air recirculation unit (1) is fastened by means of a nut to the firewall. | |
5 | Unhook air recirculation unit (1) from heater/air conditioner housing (4) and remove downwards | ||
6.1 | Remove pollen filter | Only when replacing the air recirculation unit (1) for vehicles with code (I43) Combination filter (DFO/FFO) and code (I01) Air conditioning Plus or code (I77) Manual air conditioning. | |
7.1 | Remove air recirculation flap actuator motor (M39) | Only when replacing the air recirculation unit (1) for vehicles with code (I01) Air conditioning Plus or code (I77) Manual air conditioning. | |
