Connect diagnostic system, start XENTRY and perform quick test.

Only if finger navigation pad (FNPD) (A19a) is to be replaced.

2.1

Select Control unit replacement and follow the instructions.

If finger navigation pad (FNPD) (A19a) is to be replaced.

Control unit replacement is completely menu-assisted under:

Installation: Follow instructions for "Control unit replacement".

2.2

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).

If finger navigation pad (FNPD) (A19a) is not to be replaced.

3.1

Remove cover (2).

Vehicles without code S3A (Driver airbag)

Remove driver's airbag from multifunction steering wheel (1).

Disconnect electrical connectors (3) from finger navigation pad (FNPD) (A19a) at right.

Unclip cover (5) with finger navigation pads (FNPD) (A19a) from multifunction steering wheel (1).

Pull cover (5) up in direction of arrow on both sides with hands and unclip.

Installation: Moisten holders and catch tabs with lubricant.

Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 l

Unscrew screws (6) and remove finger navigation pad (FNPD) multifunction steering wheel button group (A19a) from cover (5).

Only if cover (5) or finger navigation pad (FNPD) multifunction steering wheel button group (A19a) is to be replaced.

Assemble in the reverse order.
