Remove/install

Switch off ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS [EZS] control unit

 On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).

Unclip instrument panel center section (2) with long wedge (1), remove and lay down on center console

 Only when removing Keyless go cockpit antenna (A2/60).

 Protect trim parts of the instrument panel and center console from scratches.

 Installation: First insert instrument panel center section (2) with both bottom lugs, then fold upward and clip in.

Remove door lining from rear door

 Only when removing left rear door Keyless Go antenna (A2/39) or right rear Keyless Go antenna (A2/41).

Remove lining on rear-end door

 Only when removing Keyless Go trunk antenna (A2/35).

Remove 3rd seat row rear seats

 Only when removing interior Keyless Go antenna (A2/61).

Separate electrical connection (3)

4.1

Remove screws (4).

 Only when removing Keyless go cockpit antenna (A2/60) and Keyless Go trunk antenna (A2/35).

4.2

Unscrew nuts (5).

 Only when removing left rear door Keyless Go antenna (A2/39), right rear Keyless Go antenna (A2/41) and Interior Keyless Go antenna (A2/61).

Remove Keyless Go cockpit antenna (A2/60), left rear door Keyless Go antenna (A2/39), right rear door Keyless Go antenna (A2/41), Keyless Go trunk antenna (A2/35) or Interior Keyless Go antenna (A2/61)

Install in the reverse order

Read out fault memory

 Stored faults which may be caused by disconnecting cables or by simulation during test operations, must be erased in the fault memory after completing the work.



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
