Temporarily store basic data of Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit (N87/3) in STAR DIAGNOSIS

When replacing the Digital Audio broadcasting control unit (N87/3).

Installation: Copy temporarily stored basic data into Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit (N87/3).

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory

Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit

KEYLESS-GO start/stop button only on vehicles with code (889) Keyless-Go.

Remove trunk floor paneling (1)

Remove screws (3) and remove anchoring lugs

Pull cover on carrier plate (2) to rear and remove

Detach electrical connector (8) and electrical connector with fiber optic cable (10)

With Media Oriented System Transport (MOST)

Expose electrical wiring harness (7, 9) on bracket (5)

Remove bolts (11)

Unclip holder (5) (arrows A) and remove from carrier plate (6) with Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit (N87/3)

Installation: Ensure that tabs (arrows B) are properly seated in the carrier plate (6).

Unscrew nuts on underside of holder (5) and remove Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit (N87/3)

When replacing bracket (5) or Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit (N87/3).

Install in the reverse order
