1 | Suction off window washer fluid in washer fluid reservoir (3) | ||
2 | Release filler neck (1) from bracket (2) and pull out of washer fluid reservoir (3) | Installation: Replace seal ring on filler neck (1). | |
3 | Disconnect electrical line (4) from washer fluid reservoir (3) | ||
4 | Remove front CBS | ||
5 | Remove clips (5) | ||
6 | Remove clip (6) from washer fluid reservoir (3) | ||
7 | Detach electrical connector (7) from HCS [SRA] pump (M5/2) | On vehicles with code (22Y) Headlamp cleaning system | |
8 | Remove bolts (8) | ||
9 | Detach hoses of windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1) from guides in washer fluid reservoir (3) | ||
10 | Push washer fluid reservoir (3) upwards and to the right, unhook, and guide downwards until windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1) is accessible | ||
11 | Remove hoses and electrical connector from windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1) | Collect window washer fluid which flows out in a suitable container. | |
12 | Remove washer fluid reservoir (3) from below | ||
13 | Tilt windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1) and HCS [SRA] pump (M5/2) outwards (arrows) and remove from washer fluid reservoir (3) | Only when replacing washer fluid reservoir (3) or windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1) or HCS [SRA] pump (M5/2) with code (22Y) Headlamp cleaning system. | |
Collect window washer fluid which flows out in a suitable container. | |||
Installation: Replace seal rings of windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1) and HCS [SRA] pump (M5/2) with code (22Y) Headlamp cleaning system. | |||

15 | Fill washer fluid reservoir (3) | ||
| Windshield washer system - inspect fluid level, adjust to correct level | ||
16 | Perform tightness check of washer fluid reservoir (3) | ||
17 | Perform function check of windshield washer system | ||
18 | Check headlamp cleaning system for proper function | On vehicles with code (22Y) Headlamp cleaning system |
