Warning

Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism.

When working on the windshield wiper mechanism, always switch off the ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m).

Basic setting of windshield wiper hand crank

With the hand crank of the windshield wiper removed, switch on the ignition key, actuate the windshield wiper in a only sweeping cycle, and wait the end of the sweeping and the return of the mechanism to its initial position.

Turn off the ignition and remove the key from the switch.

Install the windshield wiper hand crank (1) so that it is positioned to the right (position related to 3 o'clock in the watch hands) when horizontal (OFF position).
