2 | Remove cap (2) on rain/light sensor (B176) | ||
3 | Use a suitable screwdriver to remove retaining clamp (5) from bracket (4) | ||
4 | Remove rain/light sensor (B176) from bracket (4) and disconnect electrical connector (3) | The rain/light sensor (B176) has to be replaced each time it is removed. | |
| Install | ||
5 | Clean contact surface of rain/light sensor (B176) on windshield | Remove all traces of gel from windshield. | |
6 | Join connector (3) to rain/light sensor (B176) | ||
7 | Remove protective cap (1) and insert rain/light sensor (B176) into holder (4) | Do not remove protective cap (1) on the rain/light sensor (B176) until immediately before installing it. | |
Do not touch the silicone surface and keep it free of dirt, as otherwise the rain/light sensor (B176) function may be impaired. | |||
8 | Mount retaining clamp (5) | ||
9 | Install cap (2) on rain/light sensor (B176) | Press corrugated hose of electrical line into groove of cap (2). | |
10 | Carry out function check |
