Remove/install

Support pop-up roof

 The rear guide pin (4) can only be removed free of tension. For this reason do not turn spindle on  locating tool against mechanical stop on pop-up roof.

2.1

Detach velcro strip from cover (2) and remove cover (2) from corresponding drive (1)

If drive (1) is not replaced.

2.2

Detach velcro strip from cover (2) and remove cover (2) on left and right drive (1)

When replacing left and right drive (1).

3.1

Expose electrical connector (3) on corresponding drive (1) and disconnect

If drive (1) is not replaced.

3.2

Expose electrical connector (3) on left and right drive (1) and disconnect

When replacing left and right drive (1).

Remove retainer on front guide pin (5) and remove front guide pin (5)

 Installation: Grease front guide pin (5).

Long-life grease

Before installing front guide pin (5), when replacing left or right drive (1)



Adjust new drive (1).

 Installation:
When adjusting drive (1), ensure that the electrical connector (3) for the corresponding opposite drive (1) is not connected.
Otherwise the mechanism of the pop-up roof can be damaged.

Remove retainer at rear guide pin (4) and remove rear guide pin (4)

 Installation: Grease rear guide pin (4).

Remove drive unit (1)


Each drive (1) removed previously has a defined length; do not mix up!
Otherwise the mechanical components can be damaged and malfunction can occur.

 Observe assembly position of drive (1) on set-up brace.

Install in the reverse order



Check electric pop-up roof for proper function
