Disconnect or unbolt connections from tailgate, and pull out through cable guide

Disconnect leads for windshield washing unit from wiper motor and pull out of tailgate

Detach vacuum line from vacuum element and pull out of tailgate

Mark installation position of hinge on tailgate

Removing and installing gas-operated strut (1) at tailgate

Unscrew bolts (2 and 3) and remove tailgate (4) with second person

Install in the reverse order

Adjust tailgate
