Remove

Remove old trim piece (1)

For this purpose carefully detach adhesive strips between trim piece (1) and inside door handle (2) (arrows).

The removed trim piece (1) cannot be reused.

Clean

Remove any adhesive residues from inside door handle (2)

Measure

Check front dimension (A) and rear dimension (B) of new trim piece (1)

To determine correct installation position of new trim piece (1).
Front dimension (A) approx. 58 mm and rear dimension (B) approx. 59 mm.
If required, check installation position of new trim piece (1) on inside door handle (2).

Clean

Clean contact surface (crosshatched) on inside door handle (2)


Contact surface (crosshatched) on side door handle (2) must be free of grease.
Otherwise proper adhesion of the trim strip (1) is not ensured.

Use commercially available cleaning alcohol.

Install

Secure prerequisites for installation


Working area must be completely dry. Prevent ambient and room temperature of below 15 °C. Start assembly only after reaching suitable climatic conditions.
Otherwise proper adhesion of the trim strip (1) is not ensured.

Apply primer included in installation kit to contact surface (crosshatched) on inside door handle (2)

Observe manufaccturers note for primer supplied.

Remove protective foils (3) on adhesive strips from new trim piece (1)

Install new trim piece (1) on inside door handle (2) with positive fit


For this purpose firmly press new trim piece (1) onto inside door handle (2) approx. 3 s at several points.
Otherwise proper adhesion of the trim strip (1) is not ensured.

Install new trim piece (1) with front dimension (A) toward front as shown.
Full adhesion of the new trim piece (1) is achieved after approx. 10 min.
