Steps 4 through 9

 

Removal, installation

Remove door liner on front door

Unscrew mounting screws (1), completely remove outside rearview mirror

Disconnect electrical connector for power window

Code V50 only

Disconnect electrical connectors for central locking wiring harness in passenger compartment

 Interface in passenger compartment in back of A-pillar

Pull central locking wiring harness through A-pillar in direction of door

Pull remaining wires through door paneling in direction of A-pillar

 Wherever necessary unclip wires from connectors.

Unscrew door catch strap (2) on inner door panel



Unscrew bolts (3) for top and bottom door hinges

 Have 2nd person hold door so that

it does not fall



Remove door (4)

 When replacing the front door seal joints before painting and preserve hollow cavities after painting

Reinstall in opposite order

 After installing, check gap all around,
if necessary 

adjust front door
