Removal/installation

1

Remove door lining from left or right front door

 Before disconnecting electrical connectors on the left front door control unit or right front door control unit completely close crank window in front door.

Unlock electrical connector (2) on multipoint connector (arrow), remove and disconnect

On vehicles with code (889) Keyless go

Loosen door foil (3) from inner door panel (4) and fasten to front door with suitable masking tape

 Loosen door foil (3) only until electric wiring harness (6) is accessible. Refer to:

Remove door foil from front door

Unclip clips (5) from inner door panel (4) and expose electric wiring harness (6)

On vehicles with code (889) Keyless go

 Installation: Ensure that electric wiring harness (6) is routed correctly

Remove exterior door handle on front door

Remove seals (7) from front door on outside

 Installation: Observe installation position of seals (7) outside of front door

Loosen screw (8)



Remove bearing bracket (1) toward front and remove from front door

Unscrew screw (8) from bearing bracket (1)

When replacing bearing brackets (1).

Install in the reverse order

Check lock system for proper function
