Remove center curtain rail (2)

Detach curtain rail in area of rear headliner (3)

Vehicles with curtain rail

 In order that the rear headliner (3) can be removed from the sidewall lining panels.

Remove retaining clips in area of rear headliner (3)

Vehicles without curtain rail

 In order that the rear headliner (3) can be removed from the sidewall lining panels.

Remove wardrobe hook (4)

If installed.

Support upper bed and detach both brackets (1) from cab roof

Only on vehicles with code SM2 (Upper bed, single-piece, with bed beneath) or code SM6 (Deluxe upper bed, with leveling function, with bed beneath).

Detach bracket (6) of bunk guard from cab roof

If installed.

Remove cover (5) together with upper bunk light (E32) and rear panel switch module 12 (A84)

Only on vehicles with code SM2 (Upper bed, single-piece, with bed beneath) or with code SM6 (Deluxe upper bed, with leveling function, with bed beneath).

 The cover (5) is fastened at the top to the rear headliner (3) with retaining lugs.

Switch off ignition and detach connector of upper bunk light (E32) and rear panel switch module 12 (A84)

Only on vehicles with code SM2 (Upper bed, single-piece, with bed beneath) or with code SM6 (Deluxe upper bed, with leveling function, with bed beneath).

Remove rear headliner (3)
