Remove/install

Switch off ignition

Remove center curtain rail (3)

On vehicles with (FA5) Curtain cross lights in front of bed/bunk(s), do not remove curtain.

Remove clip (4) on front rear headliner (1)

Remove front headliner (1)

Disconnect electrical connector for interior lamp on passenger side (E62) or driver side (E61).

On vehicles with code (FR1), "Ambience" interior cab illumination, also disconnect electrical connector on wiring harness for overhead ambience illumination.

Remove interior lamp on passenger side (E62) or
driver side (E62) and, if applicable, overhead ambience illumination on front headliner (1)

Perform only if front headliner (1) is replaced.

Install in the reverse order

Check interior lamp on driver side and passenger side (E61, E62) for proper function as well as overhead ambience illumination where applicable

Remove/install front headliner
