1 | Position steering wheel to straight-ahead and fix in place | ||
2 | Remove ignition key | ||
3 | Position steering column to lowest position | ||
4 | Remove top cover (1) from bottom cover (2) | ||
5 | Remove upper cover (1) from trim (7) and remove upwards | Upper cover (1) is connected with four retaining clips to fabric connecting part (6) of trim (7). | |
6 | Remove lower cover (2) from steering column and boot (3) | ||
7 | Fold floor covering (5) to rear | ||
8 | Mark installation position of steering shaft to upper universal joint | ||
9 | Remove steering spindle from upper universal joint | Installation: Observe marking. | |
Fit bolt/nut, universal joint to steering shaft | |||
10 | Remove bottom steering column trim (4) | For this purpose, remove boot (3) at lower steering column trim (4). | |
11 | Install in the reverse order |
