Removal, installation

Open sliding/pop-up roof panel

Electric sliding/pop-up roof (code 414a)

Remove inside mirror (2)

 Pull inside rearview mirror vertically downward with force on one side and remove (arrow).

 Installation: Position inside rearview mirror on one side and press upward until it catches securely.

Remove overhead control panel control module

Remove sun visors

Unscrew screw from mounting bracket for left and right sun visors

Remove rear dome lamp

Remove grab handles on side (4 each)

Remove load anchors (4 each)

Pull edge guard off of front and rear door cutout in area of headliner (1)

Remove paneling from A-pillar on left and right

Remove paneling from B-pillar on left and right

 Do not remove seat belt end fitting

Remove paneling from C-pillar on left and right

 Do not remove seat belt end fitting

Remove rear roof frame paneling

Lay down backrests of front seats

Remove head restraints of rear seats

Remove rail (3)

Electric sliding/pop-up roof (code 414a)

Unhook headliner (1) from sliding/pop-up roof frame at rear (arrows)

Electric sliding/pop-up roof (code 414a)

Slide headliner (1) toward front

 Unhook both mounts (4) from sliding roof frame.
 Installation: Ensure that mounts (4) reach into the sliding roof frame simultaneously when sliding back the headliner.

Remove headliner (1) and take out through rear door.

Install in opposite order
