3 | Unscrew bolt from counterbearing (4) on sun visor | ||
4 | Lower A-pillar paneling (1) in area of overhead control panel control unit (6) | ||
5 | Disconnect electrical connector (2) from overhead control panel control unit (6) | ||
6 | Unclip A-pillar paneling (1) with assembly wedge | Removal: Place assembly wedge directly against retaining clips (3). | |
Installation: Check retaining clips (3) for damage, replace if required. | |||

7 | Remove A-pillar paneling (1) upward from instrument panel guide (arrow) | Installation: Ensure that all seals are positioned properly in the entire area of the A-pillar paneling (1). | |
8 | Remove counterbearing (4) from A-pillar paneling (1) | Only when replacing A-pillar paneling (1). | |
9 | Remove electrical connector from A-pillar interior lamp (8) and remove A-pillar interior lamp (8) | Only when replacing A-pillar paneling (1). | |
10 | Remove vanity mirror illumination (7) from A-pillar paneling (1) together with wiring harness (5) | Only when replacing A-pillar paneling (1). | |
11 | Install in the reverse order |
