3 | Remove rear seat and rear seat backrest | ||
4 | Remove separation screen | ||
5 | Remove side paneling in trunk | ||
6 | Unclip cover frame (1) | ||
7 | Remove clip (2) and soft top compartment lid (3). | ||
8 | Unscrew bolt (4) and remove bracket (5). | Torx bit set | |
9 | Remove retainer (6) from control cable (7). | Installation: Slightly pull cable (7) downward until it is tensioned, then install retainer (6). | |
10 | Disconnect connector (8) and loosen cable from adhesive tape (9) | ||
11 | Unclip cable (7) with cable from retaining clip (10) | ||
12 | Unscrew bolt (12) from retaining rail (11) | ||
13 | Separate cable strap (13) from retaining rail (11) | ||
14 | Guide cable (7) through cable duct guide (14) | ||
15 | Unclip cable (7) from cable retaining clips (15) on inner wheelhouse | ||
16 | Remove cable (7) from ball head on main bearing | ||
17 | Unscrew bolt (19) from bracket (16) | ||
18 | Remove bracket (16) from main bearing | ||
19 | Separate cable strap (13) from cable duct (18) and remove cable (17) | Installation: Position lock on cable strap (13) so that it points toward the front of the vehicle, otherwise the soft top canvas can be damaged by chafing against cable strap. | |
20 | Check adjustment, correct if necessary. |
