1 | Open center door | Before opening and closing the center door open front and rear door.The center door should be slammed, not pushed closed. | |
2 | Unhook curtain from upper curtain rail | ||
3 | Remove door vapor seal (1) | ||
4 | Detach door foil (2) | ||
5 | Separate cable of upper curtain rail at separation point (3) from drive | The cable of the upper curtain rail is marked with yellow insulation tape. | |
6 | Press side window paneling (4) off of window frame with mounting wedge | When removing, ensure that paneling is not damaged. Paneling is glued. | |

7 | Pull side window paneling out of center door with cable | Observe cable routing Tie straps which are removed from cable during removal should be reinstalled at the same position when installing | |
| Install | ||
8 | Route cable and glue side window paneling to window frame | Remove glue residues from gluing points and apply body glue to paneling. Fasten paneling until glue cures. | |
9 | Connect cable of upper curtain rail at separation point (3) with drive | Wrap separation point (3) with felt strip | |
Anti-rattle tape (self-adhesive felt tape). | |||
10 | Glue on door foil (2) and door vapor seals | Ensure that door foil and door vapor seals are glued properly onto door panel. Replace butyl cords, door foil and door vapor seals, if required. | |
11 | Close center door | Before opening and closing the center door, open front and rear door.The center door should be slammed, not pushed closed. |
