1 Sealing tape (top)
2 Bodyside molding (side entry)
3 Bodyside molding (rear entry)
4 Side ledge
5 Sealing tape (bottom)

1 | Unscrew bolts from side ledge (4). | ||
2 | Loosen bolts on bodyside moldings (2, 3) at overlap (arrows) with side ledge (4) and pull out sealing tape (1). | ||
3 | Cut sealant between side ledge (4) and cut insulating paneling. | ||
4 | Remove side ledge (4) and sealing tape (5). | ||
5 | Remove sealant residues from bolts, side ledge (4) and insulating paneling. | Do not damage insulating paneling. | |
| Install | ||
6 | Check sealing tapes (1, 5) for damage. | Replace damaged sealing tapes (1, 5). | |
7 | Apply walnut-size quantity of sealant to insulating paneling in area of mounting holes. | ||
8 | Position side ledge (4) on insulating paneling with upper and lower sealing tape (1, 5) and tighten. | Ensure that sealing tapes (1, 5) are seated correctly and overlap (arrows) on bodyside moldings (2, 3). | |
9 | Tighten bodyside moldings (2, 3) |
