Open stowage compartment

 The stowage compartment is installed instead of the bracket (3).

Remove rubber inserts (4)

Remove bolts (5)

 Installation: Installation: Check mechanism of front ashtray for proper function, if necessary loosen threaded connection of center console (1) and tighten center console (1) without tension.

Remove rear ashtray

Unclip lower cover (13) at top (arrow B)

 Installation: Insert hook (16) on lower cover (13) into mounts (17). Ensure that hook (16) is seated correctly in mounts (17) Catch lug (15) should arrest audibly.

Disconnect electrical connector from left 2nd seat row socket (X58/19) and right 2nd seat row socket (X58/20)

Remove upper trim panel (14)

Detach electrical connector (6) from center console intermediate connector (X296)

Detach electrical connector (6 to 9)

Unscrew nuts (10)

 Installation: Ensure that center console (1) is installed without tension.

 Nut, center console to body

Unclip clip (12)

 Press downwards.

Lift center console (1) at rear, pull towards the rear and remove through rear door

 Installation: Ensure that guides (11) are seated correctly. Clips (12) must latch.

Install in the reverse order
