4 | Unscrew bolt (5) | Rechargeable drill / screwdriver gotis://G_58.0_01.1 | |
5 | Remove bolt (6) | Rechargeable drill / screwdriver gotis://G_58.0_01.1 | |
6 | Open glove box lid (1) and unscrew bolts (7) | Installation: Tighten bolts (7) starting from center of vehicle. | |

7 | Pull glove compartment (4) out of dashboard until electrical connectors (8, 9) are accessible. | Installation: Ensure that retaining tabs (10) are seated correctly in crossmember below dashboard. | |
8 | Disconnect electrical connector (8) from glove box lamp (E13/1) | ||
9 | Disconnect electrical connector (9) from glove box socket (X58/31) and remove glove box (4) | ||
10 | Unlock locking pin (12) on damper (11) and pull out | When replacing damper (11). | |
Installation: Check locking pin (12) for damage, replace if necessary. Retaining pin (12) must catch audibly. | |||
11 | Remove damper (11) from glove box (4) | When replacing damper (11). | |
12 | Install in the reverse order |
