Remove wiper arm of rear-end door

Open crank window in one of front doors

 Open the crank window for the duration of the curing time to prevent the rear-end door window (1) from being pressed outwards by the air pressure when the doors are closed.

Switch off ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS [EZS] control unit

 On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).

Remove liner on liftgate

Remove tailgate wiper motor

Disconnect electrical connectors (2) and fasten to rear-end door or rear-end door window (1) with adhesive tape.

Disconnect electrical connector (3) from rear window antenna FM amplifier (A2/19) and fasten to rear-end door window (1).

Disconnect electrical connector (5) and fasten to rear-end door with adhesive tape.

Pull out rubber grommet (4)

 Danger!

Risk of injury caused by slipping when clamping blade in the multicutter and by glass splinters when cutting out bonded windows

Always interrupt air supply when inserting or removing blade.

Wear protective gloves and safety glasses.

Remove protective foil from rubber window spacers.

Install window

 After installing the rear-end door window the vehicle should not be moved before the glue has dried (comply with manufacturer's specifications).
