Protect window cutout on coupe roof against damage with adhesive tape (arrow)

Turn coupe roof and lay down on soft subsurface to avoid damage to paint

Unscrew electric connectors (1) and bend back toward window

9

Bend sheet metal lugs (arrows) back to window on left and right

 Danger!

Risk of injury from slipping when clamping blade in the multicutter and from glass splinters when cutting out glued windows

Always interrupt air supply when inserting or removing blade.

Wear protective gloves and safety glasses.

Prepare body flange for installation of window

 Allow primer to air-dry for a minimum of 10 minutes.

Pay attention to notes concerning the preparation of new parts such as the A-pillar, the roof or the side walls.

Preinstall trim frame on rear window

Turn coupe roof

Replace retaining strips (2) on gluing flange

 Cover retaining strips (2) with adhesive tape.

Line up rear window in the body opening

Remove adhesive tape from retaining strips (2)

Apply adhesive material

Install rear window within 10 minutes before adhesive force of glue starts to decrease.
