1 Expose spot welds on rear center section and cut out (areas A, B, C and D).

2 Expose spot welds on rear center section and cut out (areas G, G1, H and H1).

Cut through two panel thicknesses (arrows).

3 Heat rear center section (1) in crosshatched areas.

Crosshatched areas are bonded.

4 Bend sheet metal lugs in connecting area of rear fender to rear center section (1) toward outside (arrows).

5 Remove damaged rear center section (1).

6 Grind down connection surfaces on body to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

Sand spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides

7 Remove drill shavings.

8 Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint to avoid adhesion problems (areas I, J, K, L, M and N).

Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
