Expose spot welds on sheet metal remains (7, 8) and cut out.

Remove sheet metal remains (7, 8).

Carefully grind down sheet metal remains (15) up to edge of front side wall paneling (14).

Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal.

Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

Remove adhesive residues from side wall reinforcements and sidewall flanges.

Remove adhesive residues from side wall reinforcements.

Remove grinding dust and drill chips.

Coat inside of spot welding flanges with zinc dust paint.
