1 Scribe separation point on front reinforcement (1) and cut (area L).
Transfer separation point from vehicle.
2 Grind mating surfaces on front reinforcement (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
Brush spot welding flange down to bare metal on both sides.
3 Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
