4.2 | Remove the screw (14) and pull the safety pin (15) out of the cab bearing (10) | Vehicles with end numbers as from 361367 | |
Install: Check the conditions of the sealing ring (13). If necessary, replace. | |||
Clean and lubricate the safety pin contact area (15) at the cab bearing (10). | |||
Insert the safety pin (15) into the cab bearing (10), until the groove (arrow A) becomes visible through the hole (arrow B). | |||
5 | Remove the safety brace (18) from the cab frame | Vehicles with end numbers as from 361367 only | |
6 | Remove the locking ring (19) and the washer (20) from the cab bearing (10) | Vehicles with end numbers as from 361367 only | |
7 | Remove the vibration damper (1) from the cab bearing (10) | Install: The protruding part (arrow) of the bearing sleeve (9) must point to washer (3) or to washer (20). | |
Check the sealing ring (12) for damage. If necessary, replace. | |||
Clean and lubricate the contact area of the sleeve (9) at the cab bearing (10). | |||
8 | Install in reverse order | ||
9 | Check and correct the basic adjustment for the vibration damper (1) | Observe the different versions of the vibration damper (1). |
