Measure distance of guide holes (3) from marking unit (1) and transfer.

If punch marks for the guide holes (3) are not present.

Drill guide holes (3) with a diameter of 5 mm for the marking unit(1).

Prepare marking unit (1) and enter vehicle identification number (2) on marking unit (1).

 Observe manufacturers instructions.

Insert marking unit (1) into the previously drilled guide holes (3).

Emboss vehicle identification number (2 with marking unit (1).

 Do not change position of marker (1) during embossment.

Cross out vehicle identification number (2) and emboss in reserve field.

Only if vehicle identification number (2) was punched in incorrectly previously.

 Do not change position of marker (1) during embossment.
