1 Start in outer rear corner of window plate (2) with "Mercedes star" punch (arrow)

The tip of the Mercedes star should point upward in relation
to the printing.

2 Then position the "W" punch with the edge aligned with the first mark in the window plate (2) and punch in (arrow).

3 Continue to move forward one mark on the window plate (2) with each subsequent number punch until the entire vehicle identification number and the final Mercedes star have been punched into the cross member (1).
