1 Install window plate (4) so that opening points toward front (arrow B)
Use spacer sleeves (3).If required, unscrew bolts and turn window plate (4) around.
2 Start with "Mercedes star" symbol punch at left in window plate (4).
The tip of the Mercedes star must point upward in the script.
Move forward one graduation line on the scale in the window plate (4) with each subsequent number stamp until the complete vehicle identification number and final Mercedes star have been stamped in the crossmember.
