Remove

Park the vehicle in the driving position in straight line on a mechanical pit

Open both bellows

Open the bellows only at the side of the center stirrup arc, pulling and approximating to the front and rear unit of the vehicle and fastening with adhesive tape.

Align the rear unit with the front one

Align the vehicle rear unit in such a way that the articulation can be moved.

Unscrew the nuts (3) and remove the bolts (2)

Unscrew the nuts (5)

Remove the porting arm (1) together with the articulation (11)

Loosen the immobilizer bolts (10) of the articulation (11)

Process required only in the replacement of one of the porting arms (1) or one of the articulations (11).

Unscrew the articulation (11) to remove the porting arm (1)

Process required only in the replacement of one of the porting arms (1) or one of the articulations (11).



Install

Carry out the basic adjustment on the articulation system

Process required only in the case of replacing both porting arms (1).

Apply detergent and clean the thread of the articulation (11) and on the porting arm (1)

Process required only in the replacement of one of the porting arms (1) or one of the articulations (11).

Apply sealing compound on the articulation thread (11)

Process required only in the replacement of one of the porting arms (1) or one of the articulations (11).

Check the adjusting measurement (a) on the porting arm (1)

The adjusting measurement (a) is 472 mm.

To carry out the adjustment, turn the articulation (11) on the porting arm (1).

The adjustment is only necessary on the respective porting arm (1) that has been replaced.

Provisionally position the porting arm (1) on the rear unit

This process is only necessary when the porting arm (1) or the articulation (11) have been replace at only one side.

This is necessary to adjust the distance of the porting arm (1) with the distance of the already installed porting arm (1).

Check the measurement (b) between the articulation (11) and the turning crown (12)

This process is only necessary when the porting arm (1) or the articulation (11) have been replace at only one side.

This is necessary to adjust the distance of the new porting arm (1) with the distance of the already installed porting arm (1).

Assemble again the porting arm (1)

This process is only necessary when the porting arm (1) or the articulation (11) have been replace at only one side.

This is necessary to adjust the distance of the new porting arm (1) with the distance of the already installed porting arm (1).

Screw the articulation (11) on the porting arm (1) and check the determined measurement (b)

Position the porting arm (1) with the articulation (11) on the rear unit

Tighten the nuts (5)

The bolts (4) utilized for the fastening of the porting arm (1) on the rear unit are fastened with inserted keys (6). In the case if a bolt (4) drops and becomes damaged, it will be necessary to disassemble the electric wiring harness on the frame, to get access to the bolts (4) and the assembly holes.

Assemble the bolts (2); place the nuts (3) without threading them

In order to avoid damages on the adjusting thread of the articulation (11), do not tighten firmly the bolts (2) and the nuts (3).

Tighten firmly the immobilizer bolts (10) of the articulation (11)

Process necessary only in the replacement of one porting arm (1) or one articulation (11).

Release the parking brake, ensuring the vehicle does not move

Process necessary to avoid deformation from tension.

Tighten firmly the bolts (2) and the nuts (3)
