1 Extractor hooks

A56 Tachograph (model 906)

P9 Tachograph (model 901.6 up to 905.6)

Removing

Download stored data of tachograph (A56, P9) with the aid of the workshop card

Only if a new tachograph is installed.

Upon completion of the repair work hand over the downloaded data to the vehicle operator.

Insert the extraction hooks (1) in the holes in the housing of the tachograph (A56, P9) and slide in as far as the stop

Installation: Remove the extraction hooks from the tachograph before installing.

Using the extraction hooks, pull the tachograph (A56, P9) out of the installation opening

Detach the tachograph wiring harness and vehicle speed sensor wiring harness from the back of the housing of the tachograph (A56, P9)

Install

Install the tachograph wiring harness and vehicle speed sensor wiring harness on the back of the housing of the tachograph (A56, P9)

Position the tachograph (A56, P9) at the installation opening and press in until it latches noticeably in the installation opening

Perform tachograph inspection

Only after installing a new speed sensors or tachograph sensor or a new tachograph (A56, P9).

Observe national legal requirements for tachograph testing. In the Federal Republic of Germany carry out tachograph testing in accordance with §57b of StVZO [German vehicle licensing regulations].
