Use a 2-pin voltage tester as test equipment.

If the high-voltage battery is voltage-free, this means that at least one high-voltage contactor is open, and that therefore no electrical hazards are posed for transportation.

The test tools must be checked for proper operation before starting the test work in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.

Check whether there is voltage at the high-voltage connection (HV +) and (HV -) or between a high-voltage connection (HV +) or (HV -) and the brown female test connector (ground connection) of the test adapter.

1

Connect test adapter (A) to high-voltage plug connection (1) of the high-voltage battery.

2

Check voltages on the high-voltage battery using test adapter (A):

Using a 2-pin voltage tester, check the voltage value between the red female test connector (HV+) and black female test connector (HV-) on test adapter (A).

The measured value must be < 20 V DC.

Using a 2-pin voltage tester, check the voltage value between the red female test connector (HV+) and brown female test connector (ground connection) on test adapter (A).

The measured value must be < 60 V DC.

Using a 2-pin voltage tester, check the voltage value between the black female test connector (HV+) and brown female test connector (ground connection) on test adapter (A).

The measured value must be < 60 V DC.

3

Connect test adapter (B) to DC/DC converter connection (2) on the high-voltage battery.

4

Check voltages on the high-voltage battery using test adapter (B):

Using a 2-pin voltage tester, check the voltage value between the red female test connector (HV+) and black female test connector (HV-) on test adapter (B).

The measured value must be < 20 V DC.

Using a 2-pin voltage tester, check the voltage value between the red female test connector (HV+) and brown female test connector (ground connection) on test adapter (B).

5

Connect test adapter (B) to high-voltage battery charger connection (3) of the high-voltage battery.

6

Check voltages on the high-voltage battery using test adapter (B):

Using a 2-pin voltage tester, check the voltage value between the red female test connector (HV+) and black female test connector (HV-) on test adapter (B).

The measured value must be < 20 V DC.

The measured value must be < 60 V DC.

Seal the high-voltage connections with voltage-proof covering caps.

7

The covering caps are transferred from the new high-voltage battery to the old high-voltage battery.

8

Use fabric adhesive tape to secure the covering caps to prevent them from being removed unintentionally.
