Danger!

Risk of explosion. When working on natural-gas vehicles, escaping natural gas or an overheated compressed-gas tank may result in explosion. Risk of frostbite to body parts from escaping natural gas or contact with components near the valves while draining the compressed-gas tanks. Risk of poisoning or risk of suffocation from inhaling natural gas.

Remove any sources of ignition.

Ensure that the work area is adequately ventilated.

Wear heat-protective gloves.

1

Close gas shutoff valves at compressed-gas tanks

AR47.10-D-0005A

Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns while working in the engine during the starting procedure or when the engine is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting on its own.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

AS00.00-Z-0005-01A

2

Start the engine and allow it to run with the vehicle stationary until the engine stops on its own.

Push extraction hose onto exhaust pipe. After engine has stopped, switch ignition off. Gas system is adequately emptied after engine stops.

3

Detach the high-pressure line (4) to the distributor block from the first compressed-gas tank

Installation: Tighten the threaded connection of the pipe as instructed.

AR47.25-D-0005A

4

Detach the bracket (5) completely with the compressed-gas tanks

The protective grille can remain on the bracket provided that the compressed-gas tanks do not have to be detached from the bracket.

5

Install in the reverse order

6

Check the high pressure line connection (4) for leaks

Moisten the entire connection with suds and check the formation of bubbles
