Warning | Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
Warning | Risk of injury to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure.Risk of poisoning from swallowing hydraulic fluid. | Depressurize hydraulic system completely before starting any work on it. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.
Topical note | Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts
1 | Loosen the hydraulic connections (4 and 5) from the auxiliary cylinder (9) | Properly identify and seal connections to prevent inversion in mounting, leaks and system contamination.
2 | Loosen the self-locking nuts (2 and 7) | Use new self-locking nuts (2 and 7).
At this point, loosen the nuts without removing them, as they will ensure that the cylinder does not come off at once and cause accidents.

3 | Remove the spherical terminal (3) on the intermediate lever (1) | Puller
4 | Remove the spherical terminal (6) on the auxiliary cylinder holder (8) | Puller
5 | Remove the self-locking nuts (2 and 7) and the auxiliary cylinder (9) | During the removal of the auxiliary cylinder, make sure that the auxiliary cylinder is properly supported and that the hydraulic fluid, if leakage, is conditioned in a container suitable for this purpose.
6 | Install in reverse order
7 | Bleed the steering system
8 | Carry out a test drive | During the course, check the directional behavior of vehicle. |
